Nandikeshwari is the Sati Peeth of Bengal

 The Nandikeshwari temple in the town of Sainthia in the Birbhum district of West Bengal is a shrine. The name of the goddess is derived from 'Nandi', which means the vehicle, follower and deity of Shiva. Which means one who is worshiped by Nandi.  It is said that Sati's self-sacrifice was associated with her father's skillful sacrifice. Because Daksha Sati and her husband insulted Shiva. The present temple was built in 1913 (Bengali 1320).  Because the devotees put vermilion on the stone for prayer.  The goddess has a silver crown and three golden eyes.

 This Nandikeshwari temple is located in the heart of the city.  Goddess Nandikeshwari is the adored goddess of this city and adjoining area.

 However, Nandikeshwari was not very attractive to tourists even in the seventies.  At that time Nandikeshwari meant that huge banyan tree and the position of Goddess Nandikeshwari in the temple.  Then, in the eighties, Satipeeth Nandikeswaritala became attractive.

 From that time the Rath Yatra festival started in the temple premises.  It is known that the idols of Jagannath, Subhadra and Balaram were brought from Puri.  After that, the idol was established by the inauguration near the entrance of Nandikeswari temple.

 I really want to go to Bangladesh but I am wondering where you can go and get up in someone's shelter.

 About two years ago today, I went from Dhaka to visit my dear Amaresh Bhattacharya Dada, a resident of Barasat Milonpalli in West Bengal.

 When you go to Barasat, one thing that catches your eye is that many people from greater Dhaka, Comilla, Chittagong, Faridpur, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal districts of Bangladesh have lost everything and settled in Barasat during the war of liberation of Bangladesh in 1971/47.

 One morning I was having tea at a tea shop a little way from Barasat 11 Railgate.

 In the morning, the old gentlemen were chatting in the tea shop, discussing various issues from the politics of the country to international issues. Some of them got acquainted when they found out that I had come from Bangladesh. After coming from Bangladesh, there was no opportunity to go. Besides, if you go to Bangladesh, where will you get up for two days, where will you eat? Besides, not everyone is financially well off.

A few days ago, I was on my way to Dinajpur district from Rangpur on my bike for personal work when I saw a Ramakrishna Ashram on the side of the road.

 Seeing the ashram, my mind was very excited. Once I went inside, I would give Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and bow to mother Sarada. Stopping the bike and entering the ashram to meet the maharaja.

 After introducing myself to the Maharaja, he arranged for a reception and showed me around the ashram. I shared with the Maharaja the story of that tea shop in Barasat. Maharaj told me that if you go to India and see that the ancestral country wants to visit Bangladesh but there is no shelter, then this ashram of Thakur will be next to you. Bangladesh travel

 Many people have different views about going to Bangladesh. Again, many have shown interest in going and want to know the way to go. The first thing you need to do to go to Bangladesh is a passport with at least 3 months left to expire and of course a Bangladesh visa. You can fill out the form and go there. There are many people who fill out the form for 100 rupees. Take with you 4 passport size color photos whose background must be white.  If you have a visa before, you must get a passport to go to Bangladesh and also a photocopy of that page.

 The Visa Office is open Monday through Friday except holidays. The counter opens at 9 am and closes at 12 noon, so you have to go there by 6 am and line up. Many people do not submit even after 12 o'clock.

It takes about 7-15 days to get there at 5 pm on the day the visa is issued.  Other times the visa is not issued so you have to leave at 5 o'clock.

Bangladesh travel again

 Alum Bangladesh with roots

 Age is not less. The various memories, philosophies, thoughts involved in my life pull me back. I don't know how they will be judged in your judgment. My deep love for life, for everything old, probably drove me out of the house again and again! Rewards or reprimands are therefore superfluous.

 Alum Bangladesh 12 nights 13 days by pulling the roots! On 19th September, 20 of us senior citizens drove from Kolkata to Petrapole! 10 in the morning! From there I came to Benapole on foot and took three cars! Toyota Japanese 10seater AC Car!

 First in Jessore! Michael Madhusudan's house and museum there! Pigeon on the river bank! The next day I crossed the bridge of Gorai river from Jessore and came to Goaland Ghat through Faridpur .. Rajabari district! Then we crossed the river Padma at the ferry terminal and came to Paturia Ghat towards Dhaka. I ate Padma Hilsa at the ferry terminal!

 From there I went to Dhaka city via Manikganj! I saw Ramna Kalibari; Dhakesmari Durga; Mujibur's house / museum; 21st February Language Movement Martyrs Memorial; Martyrs' memory of Bengal's independence. I saw Nazrul Samadhi and National Museum!

 After staying in Dhaka for two days, I left for Narayanganj, crossed the Meghna river, came to Munshiganj, crossed the Gomti river and came to Comilla!

 Here we see the excavations at Mainamati-Shalban Bihar found in the 8th and 12th centuries - fossil wood; Sandstone star statues,

 most impressive archaeological site Shalban Bihari, Mainamati Museum; Excavations where lots of patterns of Buddhism are found!

Then Kaskabazar became Chittagong!  Then we went to Bandarban and Rangamati; Himchari beach;  Buddha reclining 100 feet;  Rangu Rangkut Bona Ashram where Emperor Ashoka and Hyunsung came in 238 AD and planted a banyan tree which is now 1400 years old!  I saw a huge bot tree!

 I left Kaskabazar for three days in Chittagong!  I saw Adinath temple Shiva and ostubhuja white Durga on the Mainak mountain!  In Maheshkhali Upazila!  I enjoyed eating there

 I saw Ramakrishna Ashram;  Then Chitteswar Kali temple!  Ramthakur Ashram!  I saw Patenga sea beach!

 Then ..

 Rangamati in. Rangamati district!  Kaptai Lake boat trip I saw Chakma Village!  About 4 hours travel by boat!

 I left for Chittagong in three days.

 130 km from Chittagong to Dhaka via Comilla;  Gumti river bridge;  Munshiganj;  I came to Narayanganj Meghna Bridge, gunpowder!

 Loknath Baba Ashram!  Sonargaon Narayanganj district!  I ate my father's enjoyment there!  The place is so beautiful!  Then I saw the house of Jyotibasura!

 From Dhaka I crossed Goalanda ferry again as before and came to Rajbari in Kushtia!  Sealdah poet's house from there!  Things used by the poet;  Bud forest;  Many rare pictures!  I heard the song on the floor!  Use the poet houseboat;  Well, etc.!  Then I went to Lalon Fakir's tomb and the arena!  The place will attract everyone!  I heard Baul songs there!  Then from there I came to Jessore again!  Benapole by car from there!

 Then what?  At the end of the tour, with a heavy mind, I came back to Kolkata, tearing up the old root memories!

 Rural roads in Bangladesh are very bad!  Except Dhaka and Chittagong, the rest of the place is full of greenery!  Paddy and cashew flowers in the field;  Tin rice;  And the river

 Bangladesh travel plan.

 Travel plans for those who want to travel from Kolkata to Bangladesh for less money. It will take 7 days to complete the journey and the estimated cost will be around 9500 rupees. The travel plan has been made for 2 people, more people will actually reduce the cost a bit.

 Day 1 - Sealdah to Gede by local train - Rs. 30. BD Border - Rs. 30 by van after completion of border work. Darshana stand - Rs. The bus will stop at Dhaka's Gabtali bus stand. After getting off at Gabtali, Hanif, Shyamli, St. Martins Paribahan of Dhaka to Teknaf will buy a non-AC ticket for any bus and the fare will be 900 rupees.
